I am Chuck. I serve this community as the Recovery Pastor at Journey. Journey has teamed up with Coosada Baptist Church to do Celebrate Recovery on Monday nights. I lead an ever expanding team of gifted leaders in this ministry. I recently moved from New Orleans were I served as the Celebrate Recovery Pastor of a large church. I worked as an Addictions Counselor at a faith based non-profit. As a counselor my heart is for those who hurt from all that life throws at them or their own bad choices cause. I have known the Journey family since the very early days and have moved by God for the people of this area. My vision is to come along side what God is doing through Journey to change people’s lives so that they may live the abundant life Jesus spoke of in John 10:10.

Favorite Scripture—2 Corinthians 6: 10 “Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything. Daniel 3:16-18-- Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Philippians 1:6—And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
