Dear Friends and Family,
Our four year history has been filled with challenges and opportunities to trust God, none have had the potential to impact the Kingdom like “The Journey Continues… walking by faith”. Today, more than ever, our community, region, nation and world is in desperate need of the love of God.
Stated simply, that is the sole purpose of “The Journey Continues”: to provide resources and opportunities for Journey Church to help people CONNECT with Christ, GROW together in Christ and to SERVE like Christ. We all have an innate desire to be a part of something great in our lifetime. Make no mistake about it; “The Journey Continues…walking by faith” provides that very opportunity!
When we began the journey, our stated objectives were fourfold:
- Everyone would come away from the journey with a personal story of having earnestly engaged with God, asking Him to lead them to a point of commitment. It is impossible to earnestly engage with God on any issue and not come away changed! Our great God is in the business of life-change and “The Journey Continues” is a vehicle He will use, if we allow Him, to grow us spiritually.
- Everyone who considers Journey Church their church home would invest in the church’s future! These are great challenges and the ONLY way we will accomplish the goals we have is if everyone participates. “The Journey Continues…walking by faith” is not for a selected few, but for the entire family!
- We would see leaders raised; people growing in their desire to serve, give, and make an eternal difference. We are hearing countless stories of lives that are being changed as people take personal ownership of God’s vision for our future!
- The dollars raised would be enough to accomplish each and every project element.
Last weekend was historic at Journey Church; our church family committed nearly half a million dollars toward the stated objectives of “The Journey Continues” capital stewardship experience! This is the largest amount ever committed by our church and I am profoundly grateful! However, we still have a ways to go as it relates to maximizing our church’s potential.
One of the marks of a great church is their willingness to embrace the opportunities provided by God. Great churches see these challenges as spiritual mileposts in our walk of faith, pushing through them by trusting God and demonstrating great faith in response to His leading!
We can make a tangible difference in the world while leaving a legacy with our lives, as we introduce people to The One True Hope! God is going to do His part and we must do our part.
You can be a part of making an eternal difference in the lives of people by joining the “The Journey Continues…walking by faith” team. There is no better investment we can make than investing in the kingdom of God. Your pledge/commitment leads to LIFE-CHANGE! It doesn’t get any better than that! If you would like to be a part of “The Journey Continues...walking by faith” capital stewardship experience, there will be a commitment card available Sunday at each of our Worship Celebrations. This Sunday, will also be when we take up our special “First Fruits Offering” in each worship celebration.
We believe that God is doing something unique and distinctive here. You are important to our future and a valued part of the church family. It is a joy to be your pastor. I look forward to seeing you next weekend!
