At Journey Church we practice tithing for the support of Christ's Body, the church, as God commands. We recognize that returning 10% of our income is the Biblical standard of tithing. The returning of tithes and giving of offerings is worship to Jesus Christ and is an expression of the love relationship between the individual giver and the Lord. Tithes and offerings are worship, and must not be considered as a business transaction, but as an expression of gratitude toward God.

"The purpose of tithing is to teach you to always put God in first place in your life" - Deuteronomy 14:23

Ways to Give

Online Giving
Automating your giving is one of the best ways to build faithfulness into your stewardship of what God has given you. Giving online allows you to view your giving history at Journey Church.  It's safe, simple and secure. We offer the opportunity to donate by credit card as the convenience to those who manage their finances in a God honoring way. We strongly encourage good stewardship by recommending you pay off the entire balance of your credit card each month. No refunds for online donations.

Text to Give
We now offer a simpler way to give! Text to Give. "Text any amount to 84321 to give." Setup takes about two minutes, tops. After that, donating is as simple as sending a text. It's the easiest, most spontaneous way to donate! You can also give to a specific ministry by texting the amount and name of the the ministry to 84321.

Giving Kiosk
Journey Church offers a Giving Kiosk located in the foyer.  The Kiosk has the convenience of paying by credit or debit card, with the ability to accept your tithes and offerings that the church may not have otherwise received by people who do not carry checks with them on a regular basis.  Checks are on the decline and the Church community needs a way to keep up with the changing landscape of the younger generation.  The Giving Kiosk was developed and designed to meet this need.

Offering Basket
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings.  This is an act of worship for our members and regular attenders, as the fulfillment of the Biblical commandment to give a tithe of everything God blesses us with back to Him.  At the end of each service, we pray during our time of giving, as the ushers pass around the offering baskets and collect the tithes and offering for the week.  This allows Journey Church the means to reach more people in our community and share the hope of Christ to a lost world.
